Bishop Roy Lee Kossie, Jr. is the founder and pastor of Latter Day Deliverance Revival Church located in the inner city of Houston, Texas.  Together, he and his beloved wife sought God for direction and they were commissioned to establish a deliverance ministry in one of Houston’s most economically, socially and spiritually depraved communities - The Fifth Ward. Since its inception, the Latter Day Deliverance Revival Church has served as a beacon light, bringing new life, hope, and restoration to a crime ridden spiritual wasteland.

Bishop Kossie also serves as the presiding president of the Interdenominational Full Gospel Fellowship of Concerned Pastors (an organization comprised of multi-cultural pastors and churches founded in 1967 by Kossie).  The primary objective of this developing coalition of ministers and churches is to promote genuine unity and love among the body of Christ in order to be more effective in the Lord’s service.  Kossie states, “The position of the church in the world is one of unlimited power and potential if we walk in love and harmony; forsaking not the assembling of ourselves together.”  The organization makes it possible for all Full Gospel ministries to flow together, to pray together, and to seek God for a spiritual strategy to impact families, communities and the world for Christ.

Bishop Kossie, a native Houstonian, was blessed to enjoy a fifty-year marriage with his childhood sweetheart and Co-pastor, the late Barbara L. Kossie and to their union was given nine children who actively serve in various capacities alongside of their father in ministry.
